ONE STUDENT. ONE SHARED SCREEN.

Teach and learn with iPhone screen sharing

FROM YOUR DEVICE TO THEIR BROWSERWEB SHARING · OVER THE INTERNET

A REAL-WORLD MOMENT

Make each step easier to follow.

You are teaching someone how to use a drawing app on an iPad. You share your screen and demonstrate how to create a shape, choose a colour, and arrange the result. Your student watches in their browser while you explain the process over your usual call.

For a practice session, the student can instead share their own iPhone or iPad screen with Duplica. You open their session link in your browser, observe the exercise, and help them understand where a step went wrong.

WHY SHARE YOUR SCREEN?

Less explaining.
More understanding.

01

Show a procedure in context

Teach with the actual app screens, so the student can see where each action belongs.

02

Observe practice as it happens

When the student shares, follow their choices and tailor your explanation to the step they are on.

03

Teach across different locations

Use Web Sharing over the internet. The person watching needs a browser and a connection, even on a different network.

How to set up a screen-sharing lesson

  1. 01

    Choose who will share

For a demonstration, the tutor opens Duplica on their iPhone or iPad. For guided practice, the student opens it on theirs.

  2. 02

    Send a Web Sharing link

The person sharing chooses Web Sharing and sends the generated link to the other participant, who opens it in a browser.

  3. 03

    Start the lesson

Start the screen broadcast and work through the exercise. Use your normal call for explanations and stop sharing when the lesson ends.

Demonstrate first. Then follow their practice.

Agree who will share before each activity. A tutor’s broadcast shows the example; a student’s broadcast lets the tutor observe the student’s own work.

Who needs Duplica for a one-to-one lesson?

The person sharing needs Duplica on their iPhone or iPad. If the tutor demonstrates, the tutor needs the app. If the student shares their practice, the student needs it. The viewer joins through a browser.

Can a student watch from a laptop?

Yes. The student can open the tutor’s Duplica link in a modern browser on Mac, Windows or Linux. Browser viewing also supports iPhone, iPad and Android.

How do I watch a student practise on their iPad?

Ask the student to open Duplica on their iPad, choose Web Sharing, send you the link, and start the broadcast. Open their link in your browser to follow their work.

Can I use this setup for a class of several students?

Duplica Web Sharing supports one guest at a time. These sessions are intended for individual tutoring, demonstrations and guided practice.
